Amber Mornes

Director of Welcome and Community

Amber Mornes helps people of all ages connect, belong, and discover where they can grow and serve within the church family. She finds the most joy in listening to and encouraging others as they grow into who God created them to be. Since joining the FPC staff in August 2026, Amber has made it her goal to learn every member of the congregation by name!

Amber brings 15 years of ministry experience, including serving as Director of Joyful Generations, Sunday School Superintendent, Discipleship Coordinator, and in church operations. Before entering ministry, she worked as an IT and management consultant and in human resources, where she bridged the gap between business and technology. She also loves to write, encouraging overwhelmed Christian moms through her books and blog.

When she isn’t snuggling her Cavachon, Rock-Sea, and her “COVID cat,” Zoom, Amber loves camping, hiking, and traveling with her husband, Dave, and their three daughters. Their favorite traditions are an annual winter tropical getaway and a summer backpacking trip.

You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

— Matthew 5:14, 16
