Margaret Van Vliet
Director of Operations
Margaret brings a unique blend of sensitivity and executive precision to her role as Director of Operations. A Connecticut native, she began her journey as a bedside nurse, a foundation that instilled in her a lifelong commitment to helping those in need. After transitioning into hospital management in the greater New York City area, she spent decades overseeing complex business operations and clinical practices. Her career culminated in high-level expertise in hospital mergers and clinical service integrations, where she became known for balancing rigorous business strategy and financial management with a grounded, unwavering compassion for the human condition.
Margaret holds a nursing diploma from Dartmouth’s Mary Hitchcock School of Nursing, a bachelor’s from Tufts in Organizational Leadership, and an MBA from Auburn. Since moving to Colorado in 2019, Margaret has channeled her professional skills into humanitarian service and local leadership. As a member of the Order of St. John Hospital of Jerusalem, she lives by the motto Pro Fide, Pro Utilitate Hominum—"For the Faith and In the Service of Humanity." This mission has led her to participate in medical missions and serve as the executive director of Uplift Internationale, a non-profit providing surgical care to children in the Philippines.
When she isn't streamlining church operations, she is a passionate advocate for the arts, animal welfare, and the dignity of the elderly. An avid skier and a very proud grandmother, she can often be found enjoying the mountains and time with her Portuguese Water Dog, Lana.
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.
