Building Project Update — June 2026

Construction Progress

  • New internet cables have been installed in the Community Life Center and church offices.

  • Construction of the elevator began on June 22 and will continue for at least 5 weeks.

  • In yet another surprise, the city building inspector now requires that the stairwell doors be replaced. Unless our appeal is approved, this work will push the construction end date into August.

  • The Community Life Center remains off limits until all construction is completed.

Furnishings

  • All the items stored at Fort Collins Mobile Storage since last May have been moved back into the Community Life Center.

  • New furniture for the Youth Lounge, Gathering Place, and selected rooms in the Community Life Center was delivered on June 25.

Partners

  • Matthews House staff have moved into their two third-floor rooms. They are thrilled and have furnished the rooms attractively.

  • Church World Service will move in during July.
